Nicole Fairfield has been passionate about teaching swimming since 2000. She began her journey by obtaining her swim instructor certification through the YMCA of the USA and spent four years teaching at the YMCA in Martin County. In 2005, she furthered her expertise by earning her American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification. Nicole then taught swim lessons for the YMCA in Liberty County, where she developed a strong connection with the YES (Youth Education Swim) Program.
After relocating to Glynn County in 2008, Nicole continued to share her passion for swimming, teaching at The Club and later at Glynn County Parks and Recreation and the Golden Isles YMCA. Throughout her career, Nicole has been dedicated to water safety, a commitment that led her to launch her podcast, Navigating Neva, where she discusses the importance of safety in, on, and around the water.
In addition to being a certified swim instructor, Nicole is also a Swim Instructor Trainer, a Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, and a certified PADI diver. Her extensive experience and dedication to water safety make her a trusted and knowledgeable instructor, committed to helping swimmers of all levels.

Georgia Swim School is proud to welcome Ronald Pickard, an Olympic swimmer and lifelong aquatic professional, to our 2025 teaching team!
Ronald represented the U.S. Virgin Islands at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea, and competed internationally at the 1987 Pan American Games and the 1986 FINA World Championships. A standout athlete from an early age, he was the first Black swimmer from the Virgin Islands to qualify for the World Championships, making history with a 50-meter freestyle time of 25.86 seconds at just 16 years old.
With decades of competitive and professional aquatic experience, Ronald brings unmatched expertise, mentorship, and heart to the pool deck. He is a currently certified American Red Cross Lifeguard and is passionate about building water safety, strength, and confidence in every swimmer he teaches.
When he’s not coaching, Ronald is known for his powerful freestyle, generous spirit, and ability to inspire swimmers of all ages and backgrounds. We’re thrilled to have him helping us move toward #ZeroDrownings!

Stacey, a woman of faith, is the heart of her family—mother to five and grandmother to three. Originally from North Georgia, she recently relocated to Darien, GA, driven by a deep desire to spend quality time with her loved ones.
Her life’s journey is a captivating blend of diverse roles, ranging from crafting custom closets to chauffeuring in limousines. Presently, as the proud owner of “Tan on the Run Golden Isles,” Stacey’s love for water has brought her to her newest passion working for Georgia Swim School and educating children on water safety.
Stacey’s true passion lies in creating cherished memories with her family. Beyond work, she embraces the coastal lifestyle, indulging in beach walks, paddle boarding, and cycling. Her trio of Goldendoodles adds an extra layer of joy to these moments, reflecting her love for companionship and the simple joys of life.

Hi, I’m Ronald Spradley! I’m a passionate swim instructor with a heart for helping swimmers of all ages and experience levels feel confident and capable in the water. With a focus on creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment, I aim to make every lesson something to look forward to.
Currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in nursing at Valdosta State University, I bring a compassionate, patient approach to swim instruction—blending safety with skill-building in a way that meets each swimmer where they are.

Noelle has an extensive aquatic background. She is a certified Swim Coach, certified Lifeguard, and Certified Swim Instructor. She has been teaching swimming for many years. She was on a swim team, then coached a swim team. She now enjoys her time teaching little ones to become comfortable and learn to swim. She can instructor anyone at any age. She teaches at both our St Simons Island location, at The Club and in St Mary's at Wreckreation Scuba.
She is a certified lifeguard and lifeguard instructor.

Hi! My name is Felicia Riggs. I love working with people of all ages to feel safe and love the water! Hello, I'm Jane Youngblood, and I am thrilled to be part of the teaching team here at Georgia Swim School. I became a water safety instructor in May 2024, and I am passionate about teaching water safety to individuals of all ages. In addition to my role as a water safety instructor, I also teach fire and emergency services at Golden Isles College and Career Academy.
I bring a wealth of experience to my teaching, with 10 years of experience in law enforcement and certification in CPR/First Aid as an instructor. This background has provided me with a strong foundation in safety, emergency response, and community service, which I integrate into my teaching methods.
Growing up between Brunswick and Jekyll Island, I developed a deep appreciation for our beautiful coastal environment. As a mother of four wonderful children, I understand the importance of water safety and am dedicated to sharing this vital knowledge with my students.

Swim Instructor | Special Education Teacher | Water Safety Advocate
Julieanna Goelz brings over 13 years of swim instruction experience to Georgia Swim School. Originally trained at Saf-T-Swim in New York, Julieanna has taught students ranging from 2 months old to adults and has worked with individuals of all abilities. She served as a head swim team coach and is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for every swimmer.
In addition to her experience in the water, Julieanna is a special education teacher at Goodyear Elementary School in Glynn County, where she brings patience, empathy, and specialized skills to her classroom—and her swim lessons.
“Water safety is so important to me. My goal is to help every child and family feel confident, calm, and comfortable in and around the water.”
Julieanna is available for lessons after school, on weekends, and during early mornings at Epworth by the Sea. She is excited to be part of the Georgia Swim School team and looks forward to meeting you and your swimmer!
